Welcome to Harper Mountain Ski Club

Since 1973 HMSC has been committed to teaching young skiers in the exciting sport of Alpine Ski Racing

HMSC Overview

The Harper Mountain Ski Club (HMSC) was established in 1973 as a not-for-profit society for the purpose of providing young children affordable exposure to alpine skiing, and alpine ski racing.

The HMSC is a member of the Nancy Greene Ski League (NGSL) Okanagan Zone (North) which operates under two sanctioning bodies, BC Alpine and Alpine Canada. The Nancy Greene Ski League provides the foundation for skiing development in the club for children ages 4-12 years. The program's philosophy is to encourage participation, interaction, and development of technical skiing skills in a fun and motivating atmosphere, without the pressure of intense competition. In this manner the NGSL hopes to spark the desire in children to continue in the sport of alpine ski racing.

We are part of the Nancy Greene Ski League, and operate under BC Alpine and Alpine Canada. Harper Mountain Ski Club runs weekly training days (8 -10) for its young members, and attends several races throughout the ski season (typically held between January through March). As per the NGSL, the HMSC runs two age groups E1 (ages 4-8) and E2 (ages 9-12).

                                         Meet Our Coaches

Coach Glenn - Group 1
Program coordinator/head coach/president.
